Trivia Bot idle time...
« on: December 07, 2011, 01:01:39 AM »
I connect a trivia bot from a computer here in my home via the standard mIrc chat client. Yes, it's response time may be a little slower that way but this is how I connect. My question is, is there a setting somewhere that will keep the bot logged in indefinitely or at least longer.

Would appreciate any input or help. :)

You always will need a computer to run it :)
How do you expect software to run without a computer? ;-) Your software can't magically run on our servers.

Though, there are shell providers, or virtual private server (VPS) providers on which you can run a bot, but those generally:
- Cost money
- Can't run Windows software (such as mIRC) (so you'd need an eggdrop for instance, which uses a different programming language: TCL)
- Dont always allow IRC-related software.
