I thought there was already a thread about this but I can't find it so please forgive me if this is a repeat.

1. There used to be a "built in" list of bad words filtered which seems to not be active anymore. We had a guy who posted as DeadEye Dick (which the name isn't really offensive) and the Dick part was displayed *removed*.

2. "Bad words" in the Word Filter are case sensitive. It would be nice if they weren't. Because of this there are multiple ways to display the "F" word. It would be so much easier if this would not be case sensitive and also be able to have as word fragment filter.

The 1st issue not coming back is fine. There were some harmless words included there that are fine so long as the word is not misused. It's the issue of the 2nd that I would be more interested in. I know you have been working on the next release of the shoutbox but if the word filter could be modified in the current that would be wonderful.

Thank you for listening and for the great shoutbox. Smile

I remember your question from before Smile

1. Yes that list was emptied... apart from a few words.

2. I have fixed the issue in the new one (not on the beta site since that one isnt updated with the last changes). I'll check if i can port the fix over to the current shoutbox system. It shouldnt be a big change. I'll update this thread in a few days.

I think it should be working now Smile I don't know if it did this before as well, but it now also removes incomplete wordfilters from the database.

Let me know if you find any issues with this "patch". I tested it, but you never know Smile

Just did a few short tests. Nothing comprehensive. Seems to be working like a charm. Thank you. Smile
