It doesn't yet but they have been working on a new release that will have name registration. I hope it is near completion.

Yep and i hoped it would have been finished already. I was working on it a lot during my holiday, but this thing has become so complex that every change i make has impact on so many other parts. So unfortunately the holiday was not enough

At this point i cannot set a definite timetable. I know exactly what still needs to be done, just don't know how much time it needs. I will have another holiday this year (in a few months i hope), and if it is not finished before that... then it 100% will be finished during that holiday. Even if i stay indoors during that whole holiday 

Btw, i don't know if you have "unique id's" set to "on", but if that is on, then people might better identify if those comments are valid or made by an imposter. It's not a 100% way to be sure, but it might be helpful.

Is there a way to ban IP ranges? We have banned peoples ip but they come back with variation

Is there a way I can disable the shoutbox so it still there but posting doesnt work. I think this way I can make person think they have been banned & they will leave us alone. If I pause it, it will say 'paused' and they will know they have won

No, in this version you cannot ban IP ranges... you will be able to do that in the next version.

You can pause the box by going to your admin panel, then go to Preferences and Settings. Under the heading "Paused Mode" you can turn paused mode on.

Not only can you enable the pause mode but you can place whatever message you want to display on the box while paused. Our last pause which was just a few days ago said "Sometimes even "reasonable adults" need a time out.".
