I have a member that gets freezes while trying to connect to our chatroom.   I suggested installing Firefox and re installing Java,  still nothing.   Is it possible that his Mcafee is blocking the Java,  Ive googled some things about Mcafee doing that.    Any suggestions?

I suggested a Java test page and that worked fine.

When first running the chat-applet, there usually is a security warning popup where the user has to accept the applet.

Maybe your member has a popup-blocker activated?

Else have a look at http://wiki.chat4all.org/index.php/Applet#Troubleshooting, which explains some ways to trouble shoot the most common problems.
