In the admin panel in the "Post a Shout/Sticky Shout " section any shout we try to make there will not post. Could this be an adverse effect of the unique ID?

Hmm, you are correct  Blush I did test it several times during the time i was creating new functions, but somehow i must have overlooked something in later stages. A lot of functions are interconnected and the more complex it gets, the harder it is to find out if everything works. I think i should open a beta testing site or something... if people would be interested in that.

I'll look into this problem. Smile

Issie is solved. Turns out i totally forgot about this file while i was working on the shoutbox. I have quickly updated and tested it, and it seems to work (links work, utf characters work, etc).

Thanks for pointing out this error Smile

My pleasure and thanks for the fix. Smile
I think a beta test for some or all during development is a great idea. We do exhaustive alpha and beta testing with our chat software before ever thinking of final release. However, if there is only one shoutbox in the testing it would be difficult to detect problems if they are in the admin panel.

Yep that is the problem of beta testing something like remotely hosted shoutboxes. It's something "beta" that cannot be moved over to production. Well the software can ofcourse, but the data can't be merged. I am always testing it myself as best as i can, but as you can see... some issues can slip through that way.

I'll soon open a beta test environment. I have one now, but that also doubles as alpha and pre-testing.. so it's not of much use since a lot of things change there when i'm scripting.
